Ally Acoustic Monitoring System

Over the next few months, we are excited to announce the comprehensive rollout of the innovative Allycare system across all Church Farm Care homes. This state-of-the-art acoustic and motion monitoring system is designed with the primary goal of enhancing the quality of life for our residents by promoting better sleep for family members and minimising nighttime disturbances. By doing so, it not only fosters a more peaceful environment but also significantly contributes to lowering the risk of falls, which is a major concern in care settings. The implementation of Allycare represents a significant leap forward in our commitment to providing a safe and supportive home for all residents.

The cornerstone of this initiative, Ally’s Resident Monitor, employs advanced sensors and artificial intelligence to continuously monitor care home residents when they are alone in their rooms during the night. This cutting-edge technology enables the system to detect any unusual movements or sounds that may indicate a resident requires assistance. When such a need arises, the system promptly alerts our dedicated staff, allowing them to respond swiftly and effectively. This proactive approach not only ensures that residents receive timely care when they need it but also alleviates the burden on staff by reducing the need for time-consuming regular checks that often disrupt the sleep of residents. As a result, the overall atmosphere within the care home becomes more serene, promoting a restful night’s sleep for everyone.

Recent studies conducted by NHSE, Integrated Care Boards (ICB), and customer research have highlighted the remarkable impact that care homes utilising the Allycare system have experienced. Data shows that these facilities have successfully slashed bedroom falls by an impressive 63%, which is a significant improvement in resident safety. Furthermore, the reduction in hospital visits has been equally noteworthy, with a decrease of 56%, indicating that residents are experiencing fewer health crises that necessitate emergency care. The enhancement in residents’ sleep quality is also substantial, with reports indicating that sleep time has improved by 50%. This not only benefits the residents but also contributes to their overall well-being and happiness within the care environment.

The implementation of Allycare has allowed carers to reclaim approximately 30% more time to focus on direct care and meaningful interactions with residents. This additional time can be utilised for engaging activities that foster relationships and enhance the emotional and mental health of the residents. The positive outcomes associated with the Allycare system underscore our ongoing commitment to leveraging technology to improve the quality of care and support we provide. As we move forward with this initiative, we remain dedicated to ensuring that every resident feels safe, supported, and valued in their home.
