Frequently asked questions
Any available shifts will appear on the Bid Shifts section on your HumanForce app. You can bid to work on any available shift and will be notified if you have been selected to work, you will need to click to advise that you still want to work the shift you have been assigned. It is important that you clock in at the start of your shift and clock out at the end of your shift to ensure you are paid correctly. Click this link for instructions on how to clock in and out using the HumanForce app
If you forgot to clock in for your shift, please let the Home Administrator know the time you arrived at work, and they will be able to add this on for you.
It is possible to swap your shift with one of your colleagues, this should be a swap for a shift of the same length and in the same week. E.g., you can swap if you are scheduled to work on Monday 8am – 8pm with your colleague who is scheduled to work on Tuesday 8am – 8pm in the same week. You will need to inform the Home Administrator of the shift you want to swap and who you want to swap with. If you are unable to find someone to swap with, you might need to request to take holiday instead.
If you are unwell and unable to come to work, you will need to call the home at least 4 hours prior to the start of your shift to say you are unwell, the reason you cannot come to work and how long you expect to be off work. The phone numbers for the homes are Rusticus (0115 989 9545), Skylarks (0115 982 5568), Field House (0115 933 5811) and Cotgrave (0115 989 4595).
The length and number of breaks you get per shift depends on how long you are scheduled to work for. If you are due to work for less than 6 hours, you will get one 15-minute break per shift. If you work from 6 hours up to 8 hours you will get one 30-minute break per shift. If you work for more than 8 hours, then you will get one 30-minute break plus two 15-minute breaks per shift.
