  • How do I pick up extra shifts?
    Any available shifts will appear on the Bid Shifts section on your HumanForce app. You can bid to work on any available shift and will be notified if you have been selected to work, you will need to click to advise that you still want to work the shift you have been assigned.   • How do I clock in and out?
    It is important that you clock in at the start of your shift and clock out at the end of your shift to ensure you are paid correctly. Click this link for instructions on how to clock in and out using the HumanForce app How do I clock in and out from the mobile app? – Humanforce
  • What if I forget to clock in?
    If you forgot to clock in for your shift, please let the Home Administrator know the time you arrived at work, and they will be able to add this on for you.
  • How do I change my shift?
    It is possible to swap your shift with one of your colleagues, this should be a swap for a shift of the same length and in the same week. E.g., you can swap if you are scheduled to work on Monday 8am – 8pm with your colleague who is scheduled to work on Tuesday 8am – 8pm in the same week. You will need to inform the Home Administrator of the shift you want to swap and who you want to swap with. If you are unable to find someone to swap with, you might need to request to take holiday instead.
  • What do I need to do if I am too unwell to come to work?
    If you are unwell and unable to come to work, you will need to call the home at least 4 hours prior to the start of your shift to say you are unwell, the reason you cannot come to work and how long you expect to be off work. The phone numbers for the homes are Rusticus (0115 989 9545), Skylarks (0115 982 5568), Field House (0115 933 5811) and Cotgrave (0115 989 4595).
  • What break time should I be getting?
    The length and number of breaks you get per shift depends on how long you are scheduled to work for. If you are due to work for less than 6 hours, you will get one 15-minute break per shift. If you work from 6 hours up to 8 hours you will get one 30-minute break per shift. If you work for more than 8 hours, then you will get one 30-minute break plus two 15-minute breaks per shift.
  • When do I get paid?
    If you work at Church Farm at Field House, Cotgrave or Skylarks you will get paid on the last working day of the month. If you work at Church Farm at Rusticus, you will be paid on the last Friday of the month. When you are paid this will be for any shifts you have worked between the 20th of the previous month up to 19th of the current month.
  • Who do I contact if I have a query with my payslip?
    If you have a query with your payslip, please speak to your Home Administrator or send an email to them with the query and they will be able to check this for you.
  • How do I view my payslips?
    Your payslip will be emailed to you every month and it can be viewed on the BrightPay app.
  • How do I request a holiday?
    You can book holidays using the HumanForce app, ask the Home Administrator for your login information if you haven't already used this app. This video link will give you an overview of the HumanForce app if you have not used it before Mobile App - Employee Mode Overview (Video) – Humanforce
  • How many holidays do I have left to use?
    Your HumanForce app will show how many holidays you have left to use before the end of the holiday year (31st March).
  • How do I request to move to work at one of the other Church Farm homes?
    If you would like to transfer to one of the other Church Farm homes, please speak to your Home Manager first to indicate that you want to transfer. Your Home Manager will speak with the Home Manager of the home you want to transfer to, to confirm whether there are any vacancies/hours available. Before you transfer you must be in ‘good standing' in terms of your overall work performance and attendance and have been in your current position for at least 6 months. If a vacancy exists, you will need to fill out a transfer request form.
  • How do I request to undertake training?
    Speak to your line manager during a supervision or appraisal meeting to indicate the training you are interested in. Your line manager will then be able to advise you whether the training is available, any eligibility criteria for the course or whether there is a waiting list for the course you are interested in.
  • How do I read a policy document?
    All of Church Farm Care’s policy and procedures are available on your QCS profile online. Use this link to login to your QCS account - Login If you have not already been given your QCS login, please speak to your Home Administrator.
